What is Qigong?

Classes include breath exercises, movement warm-ups, activation or energy, stretches, and flowing movements. Most of the class duration is done standing with a seated meditation at the end of class. It's also possible to practice the movements from a seated position.

Yes, Qigong is like Tai Chi, however there is a key difference. Qigong is about 5,000 years old and Tai Chi is just over 400 years old.

A very long time ago, Qigong was broken down into three distinct styles: Medical Qigong, Spiritual Qigong, and Martial Arts Qigong. Tai Chi falls under the third branch, Martial Arts Qigong. So Tai Chi is rooted in Qigong.
